All according to plan?

Everyone loves fairytales. The stories about the hero saving the day and the spectacular adventures along the way. But lets say it started out on a darker day during a darker time and the happy ending we long for never comes.

I watched this all play out step by step with each person planning, making strategic moves like it was a game of chess. Though I had no voice I had thoughts and all I could do was observe. It almost makes you wonder who started all of it, Who made the first move? Who was the first pawn that was placed? And finally why?

I'll start from the beginning, the point of time when things went wrong for one or more persons but according to plan for just the one outsider.

The king himself or shall I say the current king wanted something only his brother had coveted. His brother had the thrown and a women like no other. The now current king was gonna get what he wanted no matter the cost even if he had to take his brother down to do so.

A what appeared to be a completely ordinary man came to him understanding what the he wanted. This man proceeded to make an offer that the king could not even begin to fathom would lead to horrific results. As the king accepted this offer hand extended he felt a chill up his spine then realizing what he just did and who he did it with. Almost as bad as making a deal with the devil himself but the king couldn't take it back. The damage was done.

First step remove his brother from the picture, How was he going to do this? How should he go about doing this? Was it going to be a difficult task? Well after finally figuring it out he put his plan into motion. After receiving what Rumpelstiltskin had said was a the key to getting over his first hurdle he tampered with his brothers wine adding this mysterious substance knowing very well later that night he was one step closer to fulfilling his ambition.

The next day was a day of mourning for everyone. The queen was heartbroken her son even more so but seeing as her son, his nephew was almost of age the thrown would obviously be his nephews in just a few short years. It was time to ensure that thrown would stay his. He needed a plan, a way to prolong his nephews take over or maybe even stop it entirely.

Rumpelstiltskin knew this and gave him the very thing he needed ensuring his victory and the start of Rumpelstiltskin's plan. The king felt he had no choice knowing very well he now owes this horrible man That seems to be helping but only for his own benefit. Among all this chaos there was someone else watching and plotting for her own victory.

While the prince was getting ready to retire that night the king brought tea to serve and comfort him as it seemed while harboring evil intentions. All apart of the plan right? Well someone had different plans for the prince. Nobody could see what was coming.
